California Writers Clubs

A membership-based writing club with branches all across the Bay Area and state. Most groups meet monthly to share work, offer critiques, and network.

About

A

very long-lasting literary group founded in 1909 by contemporaries of Jack London. There is perhaps a good story to find here: London formed a club, "a faction" left to found the Writer's Club; the drama seems to be lost to time.

There are annual dues for membership, and most activities are organized by the local branches, including monthly work sharing critiques. The organization also runs contests and puts together anthology publications.
