5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Night watchmen, private security, constables; all kinds of vague figures from old books will be clarified in this lecture. Campbell Museum research volunteer David Blinn delivers this talk, and he is, fittingly, a retired lawyer. Along with the facts of how modern policing came to be, you'll get a lens on some of the times in the past where systems we take for granted had still not quite been figured out yet.
Appetizers and drinks are served before, and there is time to mingle and chat after.
