5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Nick Garcia, a history research volunteer with the Campbell History Museums, heads up this lecture on the ways that the whaling industry shaped lives and technology in the 19th century. Centering on the life of a Campbell settler and seafarer, you'll get to hear about the era through real stories of some of its Santa Clara Valley participants. And did you know that whalers had a surprising career second act?
Appetizers and beverages are served before, and time to mingle and chat follows.
